one bag is a travel packing app that syncs your data to the cloud so you can access your trips across devices. This policy explains what data we collect and how it is used.

Information We Collect​

  • Account information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and, depending on your sign-in method, your name or email address.
  • Trip and packing data: Your trips, destinations, dates, bag selections, packing lists, item names, weights, and packing status are stored in Firebase Firestore and tied to your account.
  • Weight preferences: Your preferred unit (kg or lbs) is stored as part of your user profile.

How We Use Your Data​

  • To sync your trips and packing lists across devices.
  • To provide AI-powered weight estimates for items you add to your packing list. Item names are sent to Google Gemini to generate these estimates.
  • To prompt for app reviews at appropriate milestones.

Third-Party Services​

one bag uses the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google) — Authentication and cloud data storage. Firebase Privacy Policy
  • Sign in with Apple — Authentication. Apple Privacy Policy
  • Google Gemini — AI weight estimation for packing items. Item names are sent to Gemini to generate weight estimates.

Data We Do Not Collect​

  • Location data
  • Payment information
  • Any data from users who have not signed in

Data Retention​

Your data is stored in Firestore for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
